Step 1: Install Ledger Live
Download and install Ledger Live on your computer or mobile device. This official app is your all-in-one platform for managing cryptocurrencies, checking balances, and accessing essential features — all while keeping your private keys offline.
Step 2: Connect Your Ledger Device
Unbox your Ledger Nano X or Nano S Plus and connect it via USB or Bluetooth. Follow the on-screen instructions to begin device setup.
Step 3: Set Up PIN & Backup
You'll be prompted to:
- Create a secure PIN code
- Write down your 24-word recovery phrase
- Confirm the phrase in the correct order
Step 4: Install Apps & Add Accounts
Once your device is initialized, use Ledger Live to install apps for each supported cryptocurrency. Add accounts to view balances, send and receive crypto, and interact with the blockchain.
Step 5: Manage, Stake & Grow
With Ledger Live, you can buy, sell, swap, and stake your assets securely. Supported assets include Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Polkadot, and many others. You can also manage NFTs and track your portfolio performance in real-time.
Keep Everything Up to Date
Stay protected by regularly updating both Ledger Live and your device firmware. You’ll receive prompts when updates are available. This ensures you always have the latest security features.
